The "formula" goes like this: Martha Stewart is practical, direct, no-frills and Mr. Rogers is sweet, compassionate and nurturing. I'm always there, I care, I look out for everyone's best interest, I listen and give advice and support when asked and needed, I'm the person you can count on for empowering you in your Greatest Job on Earth!
I'm really a parent on a mission: I'm leading the world in a Parenting Evolution, a parent empowerment movement to raise truly great kids who take full responsibility and earn their self confidence through good choices -- kids making a positive difference in the world! But, The Revolution is in the Evolution. It's up to the parents to evolve, and I'm here to assist you with every step and in every way with tools, products, coaching, workshops, live events and personal mentoring.
Since 1995 I've taught and counseled children, their parents and their educators. I am a Board Certified Educational Therapist with a Counseling Master's, and I see that a big part of a child's school and personal success is with parenting. I help parents achieve greater success at home, and teachers to foster more success with their students. My mission is providing you with proven tools and support.
I took my parenting job very seriously, as I know you do, too. I got professional help for most of my parenting career because I knew I had one-shot at raising my son. Mark and I had lots of ups and downs, and with loads of help from my mentors, he and I created a beautiful and balanced relationship; I'm relieved and grateful that Mark is a fabulous husband of the magnificent Sarah, and daddy of the amazing Sadie Lorraine. This bliss might not have been so without outside help.
If I hadn't gotten the proper correction and guidance I so desperately needed, I doubt I would have done the "Right Parent Thing" enough for Mark's and my relationship to thrive and flourish to this day. I am forever indebted and grateful to my many mentors: Victoria Johnson, Terri Ray, Jackie Reza, Beverly Conrad, and Mary Schoenke. I found out through their guidance and my experience what parents need to be their best. I am thankful every day for the relationship Mark and I have and for the wonderful person he's become. I wish you the same bliss.
